Help

Start with the guide for your product:

  • Downloads & installing

Choose the installer for your computer from My Library. On macOS the products include AU, VST3 and Standalone; on Windows they include VST3 and Standalone. Check the product page for supported systems and tested DAWs.

  • Licences & activation

Your serial appears in My Library after fulfilment. Enter it when the plug-in asks for activation. Online activation and periodic licence refresh are required; a valid cached licence may open without a prompt.

  • Payments & refunds

Prices are shown in GBP and include applicable tax. The seller and final breakdown are shown before payment. Receipts and refund options are available from the order in your account; historical purchases follow their original provider.

  • Your account

Sign in with an email link to view orders, serials and downloads. If an earlier download link has expired, My Library can issue a fresh one for an eligible order.

Effect guide

Retro Delay user guide

Retro Delay is an audio effect. Insert it on a track or bus and feed it audio from the DAW. It does not need a sample pack.

Install and open

  1. In My Library, choose your licence, select Get fresh download links, then download the installer offered for your platform.
  2. Close your DAW and run the installer. The signed macOS package installs the AU, VST3 and Standalone versions; the Windows installer provides VST3 and Standalone. Reopen your DAW after installation.
  3. Insert Retro Delay as an effect. The product page lists supported systems and tested DAWs.

Activate

  1. Sign in to My Library and find the serial on your licence card.
  2. Enter the serial when the plug-in asks. The first activation needs an internet connection.
  3. A valid cached licence may open without showing the activation box. The licence allows two machines and requires periodic online refresh; it does not use a dongle.

Make your first echo

  1. Open the preset browser from the current preset control and choose a factory preset.
  2. Set Time in milliseconds, or turn on Sync and choose a note Division. Use Feedback for repeats and Mix for the dry and delayed balance.
  3. Try a head pattern and Head Field for different echo placement. Ping-Pong, tone, saturation, Wow/Flutter, Duck and the routable spring add further character. Save your DAW project to recall the settings.

If something goes wrong

If an old download link has expired, return to My Library and request a fresh link for that order. If the plug-in is missing in your DAW after installation, close and reopen the DAW and rescan its plug-ins.

For a plug-in or activation problem, contact support@flat4audio.com. Include your order reference, DAW and operating system; never send your full serial in a public post.
